blythmrk
I haven’t updated this for a while but no real work carried out this year! My UK big case diff is currently getting rebuilt (I have a jdm big case in the car atm) it was whining due to worn/failed bearings so I am just awaiting a full new set of bearings and seals plus a crush tube (not cheap things) I have had the back plate vapour blasted and the case shot blasted but am now waiting for the bearing sleeves to be fitted then I will paint it before the final assembly. I did the Carwow you tube video down at Longcross Studios with Shawn Preece and mike33 as always it was a pleasure to meet other forum members - - - Updated - - - More recently I loaned my car to Toyota GB for display at the Mkv Supra driving experience at Thruxton. I didn’t like the empty space in the garage for the week it was gone They let me keep the plates and wheel stands! blythmrk
A quick update Once again time has been limited so progress has been on hold until last weekend when I finally had an afternoon spare so this was spent removing the lights and rear bumper and crash bar as I didn’t do this when I refurbished the underneath! I was pleasantly surprised as I expected the crash bar to be in a far worse state than it was plus no corrosion on the rear panels of the bodywork although it was just filthy! So just a simple wash down and a light polish and it looks great! I will rebuild it with a refurbished bumper bar I already have and probably have the bumper painted as there’s a few marks here and there.
