Life after the Supra...

So I thought I would share what I have just picked up for replacing the Supra...sadly budget wasn’t able to stretch for a new Supra, so I started to look for other cars that I’ve always wanted. The only criteria was it had to be as close to Stock as possible...luckily this popped up over in Ireland and it’s exactly what I’ve been looking for!

It’s 95% Stock apart from a few nice touches

• Recaro speed drivers seat

• Nardi steering wheel

• Performance exhaust

• Air filter

• Coilovers

• Apexi Rev/speed meter

The plan with this car is to leave it as is, only thing I’ll be changing are the wheels as it currently sits on the Stock ones. I will be sourcing an original drivers seat and steering wheel

Pictures honestly don’t do the car justice!

That probably cost nearly what a new Supra would, especially if you sourced it South of the border.

Looks lovely man, even on the stock rims.

It actually wasn’t a bad price at all tbh. I was looking at a few Supra’s but this was just to good to pass up on. It’s also unregistered (wasn’t even registered in Ireland) so it will be getting that done after Xmas

These AE86`s are absolutely amazing cars! Yours seems to be in really clean condition one. Please keep it quite close to stock condition wise, only some minor upgrades with perioid correct top brand parts so it does keep up it`s originality and value.

Ah AE86 memories I owned one before my first supra a white 86 UK car I did 100k in it they are twitchy things😀

I learnt to properly drive when I owned mine👍 mine used to keep up with my mates series 1 escort turbo!

Sold mine for 1.5k! I bet yours was a tad more than that there is one on eBay @ 35k that's why it's still for sale.

I presume the oem parts are very rare now?

I’ve not had a chance to proper drive it yet between the weather and it’s not registered yet sadly. I’ve been after one for a while and glad I finally held out for one with full interior and etc. The Stock parts are like rocking horse poop! I’m trying to source a steering wheel and drivers seat and it’s proving rather difficult :( the plus side is I have the Stock wheels that are currently on it and they have been freshly refurbished

That looks lovely Alex.

Cheers H, it’s a great car and pics really don’t do it justice.

Thought I would give a little update, managed to source all the Stock parts and a new set of wheels I was after, hopefully get them this week and fitted by the weekend!

Here’s a picture of the car with the wheels that I’ve just purchased (ironically this is my actual car last year)

If all goes to plan should be ready for mot by end of the month and then registered ready for spring :D

Not really been doing much on the car but finally got round to test fitting the wheels and it honestly does change the look of the car! They look so much better than the stock intras!

Also managed to get the final piece of paperwork for registering the car, all it needs now is an mot and then it’s ready to be done :)

Some people might have seen I’m considering selling this, the only reason is because I’ve been offered a very nice and rare Supra! We will see what happens as I really do like this car and not really wanting to sell if I don’t have to
