Westy Posted December 11, 2017 Share Posted December 11, 2017 Got an intermittent issue with the wipers today. Car has been laid up for three days and was obv frozen up. I let it run for 10-15 mins before leaving. On the motorway and went over a bump and all of a sudden the wipers came on but the control are was still at the off position???? They speed up if clicked down but do not switch off. Major issue at this time of year as they are smearing the screen. I stopped and turned the car off and they "reset" but after a little while would come back on and the process would start all over. Checked the 20amp fuse in the drivers footwell and it's fine. Any ideas? I'm hoping it's just this cold weather but it's not warming up any time soon so advice welcome Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

But reading up it's all part of the stalk mechanism, so maybe you need to get new stalk mechanism.
