Has anyone having trouble fitting these? They dont seem to fit, it seems to me the bulbs in my headlights are 9005 & not 9006, so therefore not the right size for supra headlights.. someone tell me im being thick -^

To fit the HB4's to the jspec headlights you need to cut off one of the three locating lugs. Its obvious which one is out of alignment when you compare to the bulb that came out or try to house the HID bulb. I found they needed to be canbus to work. Other than that I've been running 6k whites for three years now with no issues running or MOT alignment/pattern wise.

As stated the issue is with the plastic bit at the start of the bulb, its too big to be pushed all the way into the seat. Ric is on the money with his comment.

UK glass and Plastic Pre/Facelift are different bulbs.

UK spec Glass

Low 9006/HB4

High 9005/HB3

J-spec Plastic

Low 9005/HB3

High 9005/HB3

Seems like your on the money there ric, thanks!

The supra doesnt run a Canbus system, so buying a canbus HID kit is a complete waste of money

They were labelled 9006 from what i remember when i sent them all out. all the bulbs ive bought for my own have all been 9006 which is really weird as ive not needed to modify them to fit. Have you got any pictures of what you mean? its been a while since ive been around the headlight, so im a little confused. If you have a look at the original bulb that came out of your headlights, see if the lug pattern on the HID bulb matches up to it?

I havent got any pictures as the car is stored away elsewhere. The best way i can think of explaining it would be if you had a fruit shoot (juice) or some other bottle with a similar design, unscrew the lid turn it upside down and try fitting it in the bottle. It doesnt fit in the same sort of way, get me? Lol :)
