mplavery
I find Meguiars engine cleaner good .. Though ever since I unbolted loads of parts to be polished etc I gave everything a real good clean then and its been easy to maintain since. I take my time taping up all electrical connectors, Spark plug cover, air filter and battery etc. Spray loads of engine cleaner and with a detailer brush start scrubbing in all the crevices .. I then use a jet wash using the fine mist nozzle and standing a few feet back rinsing it down, wipe everything dry, remove all tape/bags etc and start it up Job done

mplavery
Thanks! You might as well wait when you go single then give everything a good going over while parts are off
Scooter
This is a very effective degreaser/cleaner......don't forgot to dilute it down for general use. https://www.bilthamber.com/surfex-hd

Scooter
One of those pastry type brushes you can twiddle in the groves as well as those more rigid tooth brush type brushes are useful.
