marbleapple
Make: Toyota Supra MK4 Engine: 3.0 N/A Transmission: Automatic Year: 1994 Mileage: 140km approx. (will check and update in due course) MOT: March 2018. Passed with zero advisories last time. After 1.5 years of ownership I have decided to put my Supra up for sale. I purchased the car from Keron, the well-known trader on here, in July 2016. This has been the third Supra I have owned since I have fallen in love with these cars. I am certain that this one will not be my last. This one has probably been my favourite simply because it has the looks, is dependable with its N/A lump and because it is so easy to drive. Over the last year my role at work has changed and with my son coming along I have not had much personal free time. Consequently the Supra has not been driven as much as I envisaged that it would (a few thousand miles max) with me only managing to make 1 show this year (Japfest). Whilst having a beautiful car in the garage, driving to work in my Ford KA isn’t doing much for my ego and I can’t bear to drive it for another winter. I have therefore gone all out and placed an order for a new BMW M140i which arrives in the next two weeks. As a consequence I have decided to sell the Supra to make some space in the garage. At the time of purchase Keron gave the car a good going over and service for me (filters, plugs etc). During my ownership the car has wanted for nothing. It’s been serviced regularly and has recently had new brake pads (Bembro) and discs all round. When she hasn’t been used she has been stored under a cover and with a trickle charger on. Since my purchasing the car its had fitted: Facelift rear lights Facelift front indicators Facelift side indicators Heckler rear foglight PCB (when you turn the foglight button on, one of the rear brake lights becomes a fog light – no need for an ugly foglight in the bumper) Heckler red led dash light conversion New 19 inch XXR 531 alloy wheels with new brand new tyres New leather handbrake gaiter. I originally purchased the particular Supra because I wanted to tinker with it over the winter. By tinker I mean tidy it up a little bit and learn from the process. My main aim was to try keep it looking stock but also smart. I have: Had the usual rust around the boot lid removed and the boot lid professionally resprayed. New window seal also added at the same time. Has some surface rust removed from the bonnet and had it professionally resprayed. Dyed the carpet black Replaced a large number of rusted bolts and nuts in the engine bay with brand new bolts and nuts from Toyota. In total with the hoses (below) these bits cost me almost £250 (receipt to prove). Replaced some old and worn hoses (including the radiator hoses) and clamps Replaced the o ring deal where the distributor fits into the engine and fixed an oil leak Purchased and installed a missing polystyrene part for the boot Refitted an original airbox rather than the ugly induction kit that came with the car. Prior to Japfest I also paid for the car to be fully detailed on the outside (that’s where the pictures are from). This cost a small fortune but included putting chemicals on the wheels and the bodywork. I believe it was Gtechniq crystal serum but I can’t find the email from the detailer confirming. The car didn’t come with much paperwork from Keron but I have kept all my records since I have purchased it. I have receipts to prove what I have done. There are a few things I would change I were to keep the car. None of these need to be done by the owner but I want to be honest. These are: The Jesus handle on the passenger side is loose / broken. The windscreen wiper arms could do with a respray (or you can buy brand news ones from Whifbitz for about £70 each – which is what I would do) There are a couple of minor stone chips on the car which could do with touching up. The paint on the roof has faded a bit. I’d either ask my detailer to polish it out (which he says he can do) or I’d perhaps get it blown over by the person who did the boot lid (I was quoted £250). The steering wheel is worn. Its never bothered me but if I was keeping it longer I might be tempted to send it off to be restitched. There will be some of you who will be put off by the car being an auto rather than a manual. If you have never driven an auto Supra I suggest that you do. I’ve driven both and I absolutely love the autobox. The next Supra I buy will be an auto too. I do not have photographs of the underneath of the car and have no way of getting this done. My local garage who have done all the work however claim it is amazingly solid underneath. They have no reason to lie to me (the opposite in fact as they know it will get them more work). I took the opportunity to buy a supra related private plate when it popped up for sale. It can stay with the car although I will reduce the cars price if you don’t want the plate (I’ll keep it for my next one!). Overall this is a truly lovely car that has hardly been driven. It has however been pampered by someone who really loves it. You are welcome to come view the car but you are only getting in it with proof of valid insurance to drive it (you’ll need this to drive home with it in any event) and proof of a valid driving licence. I am wanting £7500 for the car with the plate. I would sell it for £7100 without the plate. Please PM me if you are interested. rider
Shame you are selling up. Your tinkering thread was one of the most enjoyable journeys from last year. I suppose any journey has a natural ending and a new beginning. Hope you manage a quick sale.

marbleapple
Shame you are selling up. Your tinkering thread was one of the most enjoyable journeys from last year. I suppose any journey has a natural ending and a new beginning. Hope you manage a quick sale. Thanks for the kind words. As you rightly say, I have really enjoyed keeping her. I'm in no rush to sell so if no one approaches me about her then I might be able to convince the wife to let me keep her! We shall see. Looks nice:): Thank you. I think so too! Thanks How it is that every time I sell a Supra people who own Supras suddenly start living close to me? When I drive mine around I never see any others!! marbleapple
Would you sell the plate on its own? Ideally I would like to sell it witht he car to avoid messing around. I would consider selling it on its own though if the price was right.
