When he tries to join the game using the second controller on the same playstation it flashes up saying he needs to subscribe to playstation plus!?! So not only do I already pay to go online I have to pay again for my son to play with me, WTF!!!!! Called them but they were extremely unhelpful, not impressed at all! I think you (the playstation plus user) have to be the last to login, so once he adds himself as a guest you go back and login, or something like that, I'm sure there is a way rather than another + account. Scooter Posted November 28, 2017 Share Posted November 28, 2017 This info should help.........nicked from a google search AFTER HOURS OF SEARCHING GOOGLE AND THROUGH TRIAL AND ERROR....YES MY FELLOW SPLITSCREENERS YOU CAN PLAY SPLIT SCREEN MULTIPLAYER ONLINE ON COD ADVANCED WARFARE ON THE PS4. Here is the trick: 1) Log in on the primary account that has psn and make sure it is set as the primary account on tht ps4. 2) make sure your friends controller is logged in at this point, he will still need a different psn account but not psn 3) now once both of you are logged in to the ps4, click on advanced warefare and begin the game. Your friend who does not have the psn will come in through yours 4) once online in the lobby, all your friend has to do is "press x" when the joining screen comes up and he should join automatically. There should be NO screen popping up to ask your friend to join psn Here is the trick: this will not work if the main account is already online and then your friend comes to join. You will then have to go back to the main screen or restart the game, and have him log into the ps4 first, then go online together. The point is that he must log in online thru you. PLEASE COPY AND PASTE AND SPREAD THIS MESSAGE TO THOSE WHO STILL DONT KNOW AND HELP THEM AS I HELPED YOU and get the word out so people dont buy two psn accounts for the ps4.
