red_soup
Is there a way to tell if you Supra came factory with/without a spoiler?
Scooter
I suspect you could unclip (carefully as they can break) the inner hatch plastic and see if there is evidence of spoiler hole filling/welding?
Swampy442
Was there a no spoiler option?
red_soup
Was there a no spoiler option? I’m not sure but I know most factory wingless supra came in 93,94, and 95 NAs

drift_bear
Was there a no spoiler option? The spoiler was actually a factory extra in certain models
j_jza80
You see some stock spoiler-less cars going through the garages and auctions in Japan, though they are quite rare.
red_soup
The spoiler was actually a factory extra in certain models Yea I believe after 95 all turbo models had to have a spoiler
j_jza80
Yea I believe after 95 all turbo models had to have a spoiler /QUOTE] Certainly not in Japan, seen various RZ-S VVTi models without a spoiler. I would imagine that all later RZ'S had them though.

j_jza80
and the low one which I changed to a few years ago, made for the swedish market I think the B&M one also sold in Germany? http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?239811-Low-level-rear-spoiler
nasoup
I sdon’t by mean to change the subject but I had no idea about some of the optional extras...woodgrain dash, different style of alloys and gold badges by the looks of it, I haven’t seen any of these in another Supra. Swampy442
I didn't know that! A spoiler is a massive eyesore on a Supra IMO
AlexJames
the B&M one also sold in Germany? http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?239811-Low-level-rear-spoiler and the low one which I changed to a few years ago, made for the swedish market I think I didnt know the low level was only for Germany and Sweden? Chris Wilson
So do new tailgates come with or without holes for the rear spoiler?
peter richards
the first time I saw one was the black supra on the grass that ellis posted I joined the german club and found a fella on there who had one and all we did was swap , it was blue and needed a bit of tlc but yes very happy with it , from doing a bit of searching I think it was the sweeds with the safety issues they have prompted the low one when the supra first came out they felt the normal one was to high
Kendo11
I always thought it was just two particular years in which this was an option. Can't remember which ones.
SPG
I have a 95 DJG Aerotop which came wingless from the factory.

Thats a greddy spoiler. j_jza80
I always thought it was just two particular years in which this was an option. Can't remember which ones. Ive seen cars in Japan spoilerless from pretty much all model years, the only caveat being that spoilerless seemed more popular (relatively speaking) for NA's on earlier cars, but towards the end of production it seemed to be the RZ-S twin turbo which was most commonly spoilerless. Thats not based on any figures, purely my observations of the japanese auctions and dealer stock.
tooquicktostop
Looking at those 1993 brochures is quite something, its a car that still looks good in today's market if still made, I would buy a new one if they still had the MKIV available in original style with some modern technology
