formatzero
Anyone got one of these as a daily,if so whats the real world battery mileage per charge?I'm doing about 100 miles a week running round town and my old Honda is coming to the end of the road.My longest trip in one go is 80 miles round trip probably once every 5 weeks ,would it be capable of that? rider
IT depends how old you go as the mileage range is higher with newer models than the older original cars. I did ask a mechanic if he knew anyone with a Leaf and he said he did and the guy swore by it. Even the original Leafs were supposed to be good for 65 miles so on a 100 miles per week it should be a shoe in for you but for your longer run you would need a newer one. They were talking about a 200 mile range Leaf last time I looked, don't know if that's on the market yet.

Tyson
I’ve been weighing up between an EV or a petrol hybrid for my commute to work as Sheffield do a green parking permit so I can park in the city Center for free. Permit costs £100 a year.

Dave Carroll
Around 65 to 70 miles real world range is realistic on the original cars. More recent is around 100miles, maybe 120 if driven very very sensibly. New car is more than that, but not sure if you are looking at new or used [emoji106] I would say with careful use of the right foot, your 80mile round trip is ok for any of them unless its a very early car with a worn battery or heavy use of heated seats/heated rear windows etc. The cold weather reduces range by a good amount so keep that in mind!
