Chris Wilson
From memory isn't it cast or stamped aluminium alloy? As such the crank and rods will "win" but it really should be removed for peace of mind.
Scooter
Looking at the inside of the sump I would try and angle the car so the drain hole was the flat section (or as close as you can) then flush with cheap oil (have a container right up on the drain hole and you can run the same oil back through if needs be. When flat there are a few depressions in the sump base the bit could rest in away from the drain hole, if tilted it might flow over the little ridges inside the sump base and flow into the small flat section around the sump hole. A camera would be ideal to see it, but a right angled wire or something may just be enough to contact it and get it over the hole? Has to be worth a go? https://www.ebay.com/itm/JDM-Toyota-Supra-JZA80-3-0L-Non-VVTi-2JZ-GTE-OEM-Rear-Sump-Oil-Pan-Baffle-Pickup/263098948642?hash=item3d41eb5c22%3Ag%3ALr8AAOSwkaZZcQkv

Chris Wilson
Best of luck LOL, he'll need it. If I *HAD* to try and get it out via micro surgery I'd flush a gallon of brake cleaner into the engine after draining the oil for 12 hours, then let most of it evaporate, then go in with an endoscope, which I have, then beg a colonoscopy tweezer thingy from my vet with the instruction not ask what it's for and to sterilise well after! Dropping the sump will seem like the easy option after a day of fiddling up the sump plug `ole!
