Hi guys I'm new to this thread, I have a 96 JDM JZA80 2JZGTE 6spd Supra,

It's all original except for the airbox which I'm desparately trying to find, wondering if anyone

Has one for sale?? It's a non vvti model.

Thanks

Gareth

Gareth, welcome :)

You no doubt soon be told that to buy/sell you need to be a member (£10) and then post in the appropriate section.

I would say these are getting rare though, NA ones are on Ebay.co.uk but no TT ones. You have a chance on here but it's a bulky/costly thing to post to UAE I'd imagine?

Might be better going direct through a UAE supplier (perhaps Amayama)

Yeah I'll pay the £10 and keep looking anywhere in the world I can find one.

I work in the UAE but the car is at home in New Zealand, pretty much zero chance of finding one there.

Thanks for the advice though, and if you hear of one available I'm definately interested.

Cheers

Gareth

Unfortunately I think far too many of these have been thrown in the bin over the years after being replaced with a cone filter [emoji21]

The air box does look really good on a Supra because it has become rare to actually see one. It just adds to the air of an unmolested motor which for the wider Supra market appeal will become increasingly important. If you can track down TT air boxes and intakes buy up as many as you can, last I saw one advertised was eBay without intakes in Australia for AUS$200. That was a while back so people need to scour their junk pile in their garages, unfortunately most will have ended up as landfill. The only other option would be 3D printing. Wonder how much that would cost?

I’ve got a used one that came with my car. I assume it is for a TT rather than N/A but I wouldn’t know the difference. The guy I bought my car off said the person who had it before him had bought it. Happy to pm some pics tomorrow so you can have a look and see if it is the what you are looking for?

I had a spare NA box which I took out nearly the whole back so that my non stock filter could go in though the rear into the box and the box acts like a bit of a heat shield and the stock air intakes help get the standard fresh air. You could seal up the rear better than I have (must look at that) but it looks stock (ish). Depends on your Intercooler pipe work to an extent but I think it's better than the empty space and one of those metal heat shields it had before.

Hi Gareth. I'm looking for a twin turbo VVTi Airbox for my RZ-S. I emailed a 3D printer in Auckland. From two images of a n/a Airbox, I was quoted a 'very rough' estimate of NZ $1500. Also because of difficulty in scanning the two piece item, the box would have to be painted white! But don't take this as an absolute answer. I could forward that email as there is some additional information. Good luck in finding someone who would be willing to lend their Airbox too. The n/a, twin turbo and twin turbo VVTi air boxes are different. The VVTi airbox has a MAF Air flow sensor mounting pad on the outlet tube.

I haven't been able to source an Airbox ex Japan, new or used and I've been looking for about six months! SOS to all Chinese entrepreneurs...lol
