jonny mac
hey guys, need some help, i have some engine brackets and rubber mounts from a 1994 turbo supra my mate was breaking i need to know if these will fit on an aristo vvti engine that will be going into a mk4 supra 1994 shell, i have been told the vvti motor needs facelfit supra mounts as it'll sit squint on the subframe? in my head all 2jz blocks were cast the same but if the vvti has different mounting points on the intake side due to vvti oil ports etc does that mean my mounts wont work? do I need to go get myself a set of vvti mkiv engine brackets and rubber mounts? here are the brackets I've got that I'd planned to fit to my engine: https://scontent-lht6-1.xx.fbcdn.net/v/t1.0-9/21766283_1504696566235907_7416603455656280766_n.jpg?oh=49789e74442e1bd9d1e32e29e097ba3d&oe=5A405344 https://scontent-lht6-1.xx.fbcdn.net/v/t1.0-9/21762247_1504696559569241_8248302367830100053_n.jpg?oh=c2394058d54b133949981939bfaeec3b&oe=5A49F01B they were originally from this style of 2jz gte: they would be going onto this:
Mike2JZ
Just put the same engine mounts on an aristo vvti 2jz, into a mkiv chassis the other day. All went in good and everything sitting straight. crack on
jonny mac
awesome, what did you do regarding the loom?
Mike2JZ
awesome, what did you do regarding the loom? Went Link ECU so just wired in a fresh loom lol. Otherwise I would of had to extend most of the wires on the aristo loom to reach the supra passenger footwell. Additionally would of had to order in two ECU plugs and run a bunch of custom wires as the aristo engine loom dosen't have all the ECU plugs, some are on the aristo interior loom. Also some work needed to be done to the fusebox to get ethrottle relay setup. Would of been a ballache. Easier to go standalone or using a supra 2JZ vvti loom (good luck finding one)
