machman
I have an auto j spec TT, are the UK spec shocks the same, do they fit and provide the same handling?

fastcar
The yellow bilstien shocks will be the same whether UK or J spec it's the springs that are different as in J Specs are stiffer
Spunkmeyer
They might be blue badged (German) rather than red badged (OEM) and can be repaired and revalved by CW
machman
Do you have the yellow Toyota Bilstein ones?No they're the standard black ones, leaking oil hence why I'm looking at my options. I will probably replace them with Blitsteins, I'm want to retain the standard setup or improve on it slightly without major modifications. . . Scooter
I had black (probably original) shocks on one of mine and just out of the village is a double dip, one where the car comes down after the first hump and is compressed as it hits the next and you'd get flung around. After the yellow bilsteins it was a lot more composed/controlled noticeably less deflection up and down!
