Iky
Hello, Before i go get raped by Toyota, hopefully someones got a new one lying around that they've never fitted. Must be for a manual supra with the threaded mounting holes for the little damper.
Chris Wilson
You can use an auto one just fine, they fitted the damper for the US market where manual cars are a mystery to most and their terrible gear changing likely to put harmonics in the belt. I have NEVER seen an issue with an auto tensioner on a manual car, even when drag raced. Most manual tensioners have knackered dampers nowadays anyway. Iky
Cheers for the info Chris. May have found one anyway. I've got a new damper to go on.
