ripped_fear
Morning all Off tomorrow to do a deal on some nice recaro speeds. They are second hand, but in vgc and worked out a decent price. And perfect for me to get retrimmed. My main concern is I want to check they are genuine. I've been assured they are but always worth checking second hand stuff. What should I be looking out for. Heard they should have recaro stamped into the side. Is there anything else to look out for. This is a picture of them, any help appreciated Thanks Jake
Frank Bullitt
Speak to j_jza80 aka Jason, he is pretty good at spotting fakes.
Al Massey
Will look like this. I've never heard of fake recaro speeds before.
Marty
I have, and had some. Like Al says, they should have recaro stamped on the sides like pic, and also recaro on the seat catches. Also take a look at the catch mechanism to pull seat forward - the ones on mine were really flimsy. Underneath should have recaro on too, and a serial number as well. They look genuine from the pic
ripped_fear
Thanks guys that's all brilliant info. Thought as much about the stamp and heard the tilting mechanism should be a curved triangle and not round.
