jackso11
What kind of support should I have keeping the tailpipe from bouncing around? Had my exhaust of for ages and now seem to have no mounting point on the exhaust and a strange hook to try and connect it to do not the normal rubber blocks. Is it some kind of strap I need? shaky
I did try and post a pic but no luck, there is a small bar on the back box , you use a rubber loop, to put it on with.
jackso11
You are right, there is a bar. Do you know where I can get the rubber loop? does it go around both of those hooks in the picture somehow? Also, is that a an oem double hook thing or is it HKS? because by the looks of mine I need a new one.
jackso11
Ok so I have found this.... http://parts.lakelandtoyota.com/showAssembly.aspx?ukey_assembly=507945&ukey_make=1060&ukey_model=15451&modelYear=1994&ukey_category=21648 does this mean I need 2 elastic bands? or do I just stretch one between the 2 hooks going over the bar on the exhaust? Burna
The double hook is OEM, and you use two rubber donuts. Any exhaust place will have them mate.

jackso11
Do they go on one of the hooks each and then over the bar, or do they stretch from one hook to the othergoing over the bar and then the same again withthe second one so just doubling up? Scooter
Just one hook to the bar on each side, no looping right over, but you obviously need the right size rubber rings. So drivers side one goes on first and easily! then you'll probably need to push over the exhaust to get the second one up and over the chassis mounted hook, it's a bit of a need three hands job, or one of those hooks on a handle to help you stretch it.
