Bob
I you do decide to go the nitrous route, I'd recommend a full compression and leak down test before hand, to make sure all is as it should be.
afreemason
Even on a 4 month old car ? or is that not a guarantee of integrity
Bob
Ah. sorry, forgot about that bit. On a new car it SHOULD be fine, if you go with a single injector, all you have is a small hole left to bung up or whatever when you're done with it. Oh, and avoid dry kits, they depend on your existing fuel system to be able to cope. I've seen a member's car over on ccuk which had a Zex dry kit - he ended up with a large hole throught the top of one of his pistons! Wizards of Nos is definitely the way forward. Doughie
OK guys and gals ...... I need to find out about nitrous fairly quickly and don't know the first thing about it. Nitrous? - It's bloody marvellous to inhale just after you've broken your arm into 4 pieces in the middle of an arm-wrestle. Been there, done that. (seriously). Doughie
er... yes. not a nice event at all. makes a very loud snapping/cracking noise too. Almost makes it worth keeping a bottle of nitrous round the house in case of any nasty accidents. I didn't even know before that ambulances carry it, but now i know. Recommended ! (NOS, not the arm-wrestling)
Bob
I wouldn't try using normal nitrous in place of medical grade nitrous though - standard is not properly filtered and can contain various other odds n sods.
Animal
An always remember it comes out BLOODY COLD and not to clamp your lips around the nozzle. I'll never forget one of Smax's pit crew being rushed to casualty in the middle of summer with frostbitten lips! He was really lucky to escape serious injury. Shit, we laughed! wez_p
after a recent night out where they were selling nitrous in balloons for your inhaling pleasure, i was informed you can also buy it on ebay now! http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/110-Laughing-gas-chargers-Dispenser-and-balloons_W0QQitemZ4407593411QQcategoryZ3202QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

SupraHuman
I did have nitrous on my N/A. In my experience its not worth the hassle unless you live very near a supplier (which I found I didn't) and also its only any good if you have the thing switched on when you need it and have gas when you need it. It is also a bit of a short lasting hit. Don't get me wrong it is a good laugh but its sodding expensive. I'd personally say get it for track or 1/4 miling but don't bother with expecting it to be much use to you on road (ps its illegal on the road to boot) you are quite right mate.i have nos fitted in my na and it's good fun while the bottle last's.but living in Jersey it costs a fortune to get noz over from the mainland.it's got to go anyway as i am fitting a turbo these days.
