WayneW
Hi everyone, after several years without owning any Supra but working on a few friend's TT6, time is soon over as I'll receive my new Supra from Japan in a few weeks : Here below the little (for now) specs list of it: April 2002 (apparently the last 258th Supra MKIV ever produced...) N/A with certified 49.600km OEM Quicksilver W58 5 speeds Open A01A Diff (haha...) I've always wanted a low mileage and late spec Supra to have a good base for learning everything what's possible on a Supra It's nearly done now My purpose with this Supra is to touch on every part of the car without fear, to learn about it and to refresh it at a new or nearly new stand. For this to be able, I built for a few years now my own garage and bought a second hand lift : I also began several month/years ago with the collection of a few parts to be able to spend some evenings on it. Headlights, breaks, exhaust, diff, seats, steeringwheel, front lip, front wings, wheels,... that will be assembled at the right time The car presents some paint fade on the bumper/hood, it doesn't matter as I planned to make a full windows out paint job as soon as the car touches the horrible belgian roads haha. This first big job on the car will also be the opportunity to put my PU front lip and my fiberglass ridox front wings (some of their fixations need to be fixed before assembled). A Supra (even an n/a one haha) isn't a Supra without an LSD isn't it ? My new OS GIKEN 1.5 WAY LSD is kindly waiting to be assembled with the help of a rebuild kit that just arrived to me from Japan (I will have a spare set for sale soon !) This job is really not easy for me, I've never worked on any diff, I hope to learn a lot about it... oh and I bought 2 spare crush sleeves... if necessary x) I'll certainly do this job after the paint job and still before winter to be able to test the car on dry and salt-free roads. More informations soon, thanks for reading ! EDIT : How to show the pics in a bigger size ? Scooter
Only the late SZ-R's, regular SZ's were still 5 speed or auto
WayneW
Yes that's it. Actually I bid on several SZ-R 6 speeds but prices were sooo crazy I could'nt believe it I'm thinking about putting a new T56 gearbox...

WayneW
Little update, the car isn't paint yet as my father is currently working on a complete Mustang restoration (a lot of work !!). During this time I'm collectionning all the NEW parts I want to put on the car. This car will receive only new or nearly new parts, this will take me a lot of time but I'm not in hurry (especially for the engine and gearbox haha). My purpose is to get the car on the road again for next summer, for this I bought 40+ stock parts to put after the paintwork : Package straight from Japan New headlights & repeaters 6 Pots big brake kit freshly rebuild (Originaly K-Break brand from Japan) Dashboard buttons to replace the yellowed one and doing a LED conversion + other bits Hood to bumper seal Moulding parts for the fenders Front and rear windows seals Stock sideskirts, in&outside weatherstrips & doors chrome mouldings Next step will certainly the assembly of my os giken diff while waiting for the paint
Crossy
It's builds beginning like this that tempt me towards getting an NA and doing all the engine transplant and paintwork etc as a build rather than continuing the hunt for a clean TT! Looks great, and looks like it'll be enjoyable once you can begin getting those parts in and on! Good luck with the whole build
Dnk
Looks like a good build. Whats it like underneath
WayneW
Thanks for the comments ! Underneath is really nice as it is a 2002 one with only 49.500km... no rust at all. No body damage under the paint, I have the interior completly removed and have a view inside each body panels aswell. Only the 2 rear elevating points are a bit bent and show a little surface rust... this will be corrected before the paint. Like I showed earlier, even some plastic protections were still inside the car... the seats are like new etc. ... I'm doing a new paint as it was not good (sat for a long time outside), I have opportunities to do the paint job with my father, so this very last Supra deserve a bit attention even if it is an n/a one (for the moment)

SupraTRD_MK4
Lovely man. If you want to confirm the vin, use Toyo DIY or the Europe Toyota page that Toyota agents use. It will show entire listing of car details. By the way, how did you get the parts from Japan? I am in need of some items and am waiting over a month now from my agents for one part which does not show discontinued on the system.
