Fulcrum2000
Hi All A simple question, anyone know what size the bolt holding the bracket to the front of a Supe is? I got a genuine bracket and bolt etc and the bolt they supplied doesnt fit my 93 TT JDM. Anyone know know the size in mm and length so I can just go and buy one from B and Phew as oppose to wait for them to send another? Hope you can help and many thanks in advance
Mk4Gaz
M6, anything around 30mm will be fine

Tyson
Not sure about that mate, another fellow Lincs owner has his battery kept in place with a large selection of cable ties and it passed an MOT like that! As long as it's safe and secure then it will pass, it could be held in with elastic bands as long as it didn't move
Dnk
Get a st/st bolt then it wont go rusty
Fulcrum2000
I will get a SS bolt thats good advice. I assume some people are just lucky with various 'home made' options, I decided to buy the proper one from Toyota because the guy who does my MOTs himself told me this is an immediate fail if the inspector notices it isnt the genuine enchilada. Apparently its a safety thing as if the battery moves or bounces up it can short and start fires or even make another electrical system fail etc. It kinda makes sense to me when he put it like that as I've been 'going bracketless' (oo-er) for some time now and every time I open the bonnet after a journey the battery has boogied off to another position so it really does move without it! Chris Wilson
15mm is more than long enough, 30mm means you will be spannering it for hours, and it might bottom out on something below
Dnk
I'd say 10mm will do it easily
