So today I decided to fit the widow trims and adjust the windows. Also fitted the cup holder.

First up the easy bit cupholder73317789-84EB-4880-8F39-7130EA5769DA.thumb.jpeg.644ea89ad8c69bbd5b854fed6a4b441d.jpeg051C1B76-BEF4-4F1A-A783-357681411215.thumb.jpeg.4accacb0691c59936170946c3ec402b1.jpeg

Next the before window trim

I took off the door panel and the reason for the window being off was all to clear the adjuster was set to the bottom. Pulled it up and tightened.

Next remove old trim again the reason became very clear when I found this

I also adjusted the window tilt to fit a bit tighter and fitted the new trims 845EF727-9E01-4286-835A-5534D4AED652.thumb.jpeg.a0e803931f983a65fc47ecf2414bf8d3.jpegC3571227-47EE-4368-8753-FDE5B7FF7C39.thumb.jpeg.8bdb3a0070b65d7efa617e351f4115e8.jpeg

Went for a drive and all is good. However this happened.

Has that part of the window trim broken off, or has it torn and folded back on itself with the movement of the window?

It had been broken off. The other side was the same to. My guess is it wasn't taken off correctly during paint.  As the screw holding it on was painted the same as the car. Meaning when it was removed it was already broken.

So today’s mission was to replace the 3 pin resistor that runs the indicators. Due to fitting leds in the front side and front housings they where running way to fast.

Screw that job.... the only way to access it was to get upside down in drivers side wedge a torch and attempt to get my had half way up the dash. The offending item is right at the very tip top of the footwell fuse box.

A good hour later I now have normal flashing indicators

So decided to take her out from her winter slumber today just get her nice and hot, poodle round and come home. Under the frost i found this.

Nice new windscreen incoming. I will see if they will back off when its out so i can seal the offending foam showing at the front of the dash.

Nice job Russ.  Was that lacquered too?

At least this way your cabin ventilation will still work.  I've noticed that the genuine carbon ones people are installing don't have the any louvres for the cabin ventilation system 🤔

Am I missing something?

Yes mate lacquered up.

I have found a few annoying stone chips that i am going to get sorted.

Summer jobs.

Replace aero seals.

Mod or replace the roofs parking lock as its rounded off.

Replace the front 2 aero roof screws.

Replace seat motor.

Attempt to regas AC

And try and find out why my mirrors dont work. (I know this is to do with my dash loom swap........so im thinking i missed a connector) i have no idea where they are and to be honest im not going to take the dash out again to find it seeing as only i drive the car i have them where i want them. DONE 11/04/21....it had no fuse...

Refurb the ignition barrel and re install so i can go back to having one key.
