k222bye
Hi all. Thought I'd share my first attempt and restoring my old model blow off valve. It stopped functioning as the seals were worn. Lord knows the age of it but you can take a guess from the pictures. As you can see it looked pretty crap to begin with. Rust and water marks, original polish finish was non existent. I disassembled it which was pretty easy except the C clip which holds the flange to the blow off valve, that was a pain in the ass to reassemble too. I went at it with a wire wheel. Sand paper and file, it gave it a brushed metal look which i prefer over the polished look. I gave it a lick of clear coat too which should prolonge it and also replaced the C clip and seal (£5 off ebay) Finished product.
