Dragonball
Visited Nito and fitted the newies via Alex (thanks Guys) Nice and easy job for those about to attempt - just make sure you have long reach attachment to get to the sparks (technical term please guys?) Took about an hour What a difference in boost - that loss of power seems to have gone and car idling much happier Generally better feeling all round! Highly recommended for those suffering that 'hesitation' at higher speeds! Cheers Paul

Keith C
What's the NGK's of choice these days? I reckon I need to run a grade colder than stock.

Keith if you've not changed those plugs since you got the car, as far as i know they're the original from-new factory-fitted platinum-tipped plugs. I certainly didn't change them and i don't think either of the previous 2 owners did either. They were scheduled to be changed at the last service before i sold it to you, but the plug-change was the one item i politely declined as it was £100 + and i wasn't getting any misfires or rough running, so i figured i'd save 100 notes. but they could probably do with being changed now, i agree. think recommended interval for platinum plugs is 60k miles. cheers
Alex
IK22's or 24's are £65 delivered. They are coldness 7 and 8 respectively. Stock are grade 6. The NGK BKR7E's are Grade 7 and also work for a much lower cost, but you have to buy them more often and they don't come pre-gapped for high boost. Justin
I had spluttery problems at high boost. Then I got some NGK PFR7B 4853 laser platinum plugs and everything was sweet there after. Got em off Chris Wilson. J.
Dragonball
Huge Grin factor Realise have never really felt the effects of boost increase due to the plugs - 2nd turbo coming in superbly1 Sorry - just had to share!!
Steve W
I had spluttery problems at high boost. Then I got some NGK PFR7B 4853 laser platinum plugs and everything was sweet there after. Got em off Chris Wilson. I copied ( ) Justin - after re-checking with Chris.... Stopped all my Hesitation under high load/boost. They are actually listed for the Nissan Sunny GTiR and so are 'fairly' readily available.... AND NOT TOO DEAR EITHER ! ! [ they are, in reality a 1-step-colder plug in Platinum, BUT, unlike the originals (which are pre-gapped at 1.1mm) the PFR7B's are pre-gapped ~0.8mm = IDEAL for high boost / de-cat ! ] Only problem I had was that because they are for the Nissan, both my local suppliers had FOUR each so had to have 4 + 2 !
