carl0s
Please listen to the linked file. This was recorded with my phone inside the drivers-front wheel arch - where the noise is eminating from, when steering to the right. It happens with the engine on or off (PAS therefore off). I am thinking perhaps the bushes on one of the A-arms. I hope not, I just sold my set of suspension arms before they even arrived. Anyway, have a listen and let me know what you think. Best to have the volume up loud. http://www.css-networks.com/steering.wav
TRD3000GT
I think you have a trapped pig inside the steering rack :ok2:
ManwithSupra
As it sounds like rubber on metal I think it may bethe steering gaiter rubbing on the steering shaft. Or like he said you have a pig in there somewhere
carl0s
It seems to be coming from one of the balljoints. If I'm lucky it will be the tie-rod end. I suspect however, that it's the Lower-Control-Arm balljoint, since the rubber boot has a cut in it and has probably lost all its grease. Does anybody know if they can be regreased?
