Door barrel light ?

Mine comes on when I unlock the car at night.

 

It's basically so you can see where the key goes, as an aid.

 

Pretty sure it goes off when your driving, but I have really thought of checking that.

I have this, not sure of the point of it though as it come on when you turn the key...which means you have already had to find the key hole and put the key in. Luckily most of us just press a button to unlock I'm sure [emoji1360]

On the subject of lock barrels, does anyone know if you can get them made to look like new anywhere? Mine both work but at some point it looks like someone has tried to open them with a screw driver to the face plates are a bit bent.

I took the lock cylinder out of my door a while ago because one of the lock wafers had broken, I don't remember it having a bulb on it but that was a long time ago so maybe I forgot... I never knew this was a thing I'll have to check next time it's dark.

Will take the door card off next weekend to see if there is a bulb blown or something lol

Both my UK's have them on drivers side.

I will check my JDM rsp shell later!

 

OMG, went outside to check and it works! Love finding new stuff out about the Supra. Thanks mate
