Big Mark
Does it matter what way an oil cooler goes? I was always under the impression not to feed and return from the bottom. i.e. have connections on side or top. Is thus true as only way I can get the 19row cooler I have to fit would be to feed from bottom. Tricky-Ricky
I have fitted then in several different orientations, it shouldn't make any difference as the oil flow is always under pressure when the engine is running.
Digsy
If you feed and return from the bottom you may end up with air trapped at the top of the core, meaning it is never full of oil so you never use the full area of the cooler.
slick95
You are best of having both fitting on the side then second best is both on top and the least favourable is having them both of the bottom

I'll have to either find a new location for the cooler or change to a different one.
MC_Bob
If you can get a bleed machined into the top that'll do. Ports on top will self bleed. Ports on side, hot in should be at the bottom, out at the top to self bleed.
Chris Wilson
On top as they will try and drain down when the engine is stopped and then there's no start up oil pressure for while, which is BAAAAD.
