Torque converters are different sizes. Have a look at the Hybrid Auto Gearbox Group DavidP has set up in the communities menu.

Swampy442
First off, fluid level and condition, flush the box with fresh fluid and see how it goes. When was it last serviced?
K22SUP
Serviced not long ago but I didn't change filter pan I took it out tonight and warned it up took it a blast and never slipped at all weird an wondering if it's temp related as yesterday was really hot but there doesn't seem a way to tell if it's box or converter fluid looks nice red and no burnt Smell same when it was changed
mellonman
That's no good mate what was your symptoms did you try change torque converter Symptoms Slipping in high gears when on boost . When driving around town the box was making a ticking noise from outside the car that increased with revs. Changed the box kept my tc as I have a modified tc now all.sweet
K22SUP
Do you think the modified torque converter made a difference and when u say modified is it high stall
mellonman
I was trying something out in the UK as the import and delivery of tc are rediculous it's about the same price as the tc it's self iirc a tc was 550 then 350 import and delivery. The modifications only raised the flash point about 600 rpm so not really worth it . I think a 3200 stall would be the best bet for a street single . and1c
Did you check the fluid level? Best bet would be to get the box rebuilt and uprated, I saw a link on here to a UK guy that was very good and did one for about £800.. WIll try and find it if you need it.
