Presumably this person has chosen the Finsbury park area for a specific reason, as the van was seemingly hired in Wales. It looks like that reason was probably a far right copycat of recent Islamist attacks in Europe, and that Finsbury park was chosen because it's a big mosque, with a big population, and is a household name because of media coverage of them giving a platform to hate preachers. It sounds like the quick thinking and calm reaction of a local Imam prevented more people being involved, one has died but hopefully the 10 injured will make a full recovery. Someone has been killed, and 10 injured, not sure how you can refer to that as "tit for tat". This murdering scumbag has fallen into the exact net that the IS murderers want. They want to create civil chaos / unrest / war (choose your term) in Western civilisations. In this part of the country you only ever hear that term as a description for a petty, pathetic squabble, so maybe it's just a regional thing. Undoubtedly it is a reprisal, of course the horrific irony being that in doing this, the attacker has become the very thing he thinks he's attacking. The location, combined with the van hire location makes me think it was, and that this guy was unfamiliar with the area and/or was driving around looking for an opportunity. As the people in the videos being interviewed by sky claim they came from the other mosque, community centre or whatever it is. That is where the Imam is from . Yes, that is racist, although when these Islamist attacks happen, racial profiling is also used (and in the media), like somehow being of Asian appearance automatically makes you a Muslim. Yeah, but I suspect (and bear in mind it's very early days) that this guy had no idea about this smaller mosque, and went to this general area because of the reputation of Finsbury park, knowing it would be busy because of Ramadan. I think he's seen these people tending to a disabled man at a bus stop, clearly distracted, and seen it as his opportunity. It's too early to say for certain, but the van hire being done in Wales indicates that he wasn't from London or he didn't want to be seen hiring a van in the capital (perhaps he's on a list) Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

That is one thing I have never read in 'British Media' ..........Arab/Muslim, but I am in no way saying it doesn't so would love to see examples, as that is just stupid way of describing anyone. I would also love these idiots to describe what a 'Muslim' looks like, somehow I think they would have to describe every skin colour under the sun.
