Jap toll road gizmo

Hi, my Supra has a card reader fitted for Japanese toll roads that shouts at me in Japanese every time I start up.

Am I ok to simply unplug and bin it or could it affect anything else?

Doubt it'll be tied into anything else but just wanting to check before removing it...

I have the same. I've hidden the card reader but kept the little speaker that talks to me. I quite like it as a little quirk and think I'll keep it.

 

I think it says something along the lines of "Have you remembered your toll card?"

^^^^^Yeah it basically says that, somebody at my Basingstoke meets had it translated lol.

 

I still have the Jap toll road card thing in my glovebox, as I thought it was funny to keep in.

But annoyingly when swapping the headunit over I must've taken out some of the wires to it and it no longer talks through it's speaker. At some point I will be reinstating it

 

It hasn't caused any issues from disconnecting it.....

Nice but of history in wouldn't chuck it as it adds character to the car

I've got one in my 1A1 that is now disconnected without issue
