Annabella
First have you tried re-downloading Itunes (as in the installer) as sometimes they get corrupt, try with chrome rather than IE or the other way round. Try this - uninstall anything Itunes. If it doesn't come up in the list you may have to add the package by browsing for the Itunes and other apple folders. You get a 30 day trial IIRC https://www.martau.com/uninstaller-download.php If not a clean install of win 8 rather than a refresh will probably be required..... Dnk
Tried it on both IE and Chrome and get the same result. I've removed anything linked to itunes as suggested on Apples site and no joy. Tried the uninstaller in the link and didn't find anything itunes linked
MaveriK
Try revo uninstaller, its very good. When you go to install right hand mouse click on the file and "run as administrator"

MaveriK
Might be worth giving CCleaner a go as well, install and run it, click on the registry symbol to the left and scan for issues and let it resolve them. You sometimes have to go through this process 3 times before all the errors are gone.
Dnk
Found bonjour and uninstalled it along with any itunes music files etc
Dnk
CCleaner has cleared a shed load of problems by the look of it, ran it 3 times and now clear. Attempting iTunes install Sadly its the same
Dnk
CCleaner logged this The file referenced at: C:\Users\Andrew\Downloads\iTunes64Setup.exe.ApplicationCompany could not be located. These references are often left behind after uninstalling software. Solution: Delete the registry value.
Annabella
Think to be honest if there's so much junk left behind/missing then do a fresh install.
Dnk
Just done a factory restore and loading stuff back on. I can't remember for the life of me how you enlarge the address bar and bookmarks on Chrome and google info doesn't appear to work

Annabella
Gald you're sorted. these may help chrome etc. https://www.asus.com/us/support/FAQ/1007486/ https://productforums.google.com/forum/#!topic/chrome/KYdoZG_pVpk If you go here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/software-download/windows10 choose the download tool, and then run it, you'll end up with a free windows 10 upgrade, still works even though they were supposed to stop it last July. Just choose to keep files etc. Depends on how PC savvy you are to get it to run nicely as you may have some driver issues, but probably not if your PC was made Win 8 era. rider
Care is required with Windows 10 as some older software isn't compatible, even under compatibility settings. My accountancy software doesn't run on Windows 10 so it was a decision whether to stick with what I had (avoiding the then free upgrade) or buy new software. I stuck.
