raddys
Hi guys So my mates looking at a 350z which has a 2jz transplant in it.. the car needs mapping apparently so i thought id show you guys a list of parts so you could give me some advice as to weather its a good buy or if he should stay clear.. and yes ive told him many times that he should just get a supra (but he doesnt want to copy me lol) So heres the list... Hsd coilovers Ally radiator Big core intercooler Turbosmart 58mm ext wastegate Screamer canister 840cc sard injectors Decat - Cobra resonated backbox Custom Y pipe and down pipe Custom front subframe Custom engine mounts 2jz gte non vvti engine Borgwarner KKK turbo- 900bhp+ Double din dvd player Infinity component speakers Infinity amp JR20 19x11et25 19x9.5et25- brand new Metal cone filter Extreme clutch bmw to 2jz gearbox conversion kit- ceramic £1800 Bmw 330d gearbox Custom Bailey Morris propshaft Bosch 044 fuel pump - Walbro 255lph intank (350z) Swirl pot Fuel, braided line EMU ECU Master (standalone) Emu Bluetooth module Bosch LSU 4.2 LSU loom Emu 2jzgte plug and play adapter Racedash Aeroline 14" 220w fan x2 Gates thermostat- Defi gauges Now in my eyes a low geared 330d box isnt going to hold alot of power and would be totally wrong with a big turbo.. i may be wrong though. Any help much appreciated
Tricky-Ricky
Why not ask over on the 350Z forum, someone may know it there, as far as the gearbox is concerned i would have thought that it would be over geared as the diesel rev limit is a lot less than the 2JZ, however it should cope well with high torque. Other than that if the conversion has been done correctly it should be fine....and fun.

Yes i thought id get second opinions on here seeing as its a 2jz and you guys know way more about the 2j then the 350 boys do
Jellybean
Looks good , just at a quick glance Injectors will be a restriction if you are looking for 900hp, sard side feeds are OE re-drilled , spray pattern is not optimal, have been known to leak ; you will need a top feed setup ECU Master is a fantastic ECU for the $$$$
samdale
I'd want to know more about the diff. Both in terms of power handling capability and ratio.
raddys
I'd want to know more about the diff. Both in terms of power handling capability and ratio. The diff is the standard 350z one.. 3.46:1 i believe and the 5 speed 330d is 2.28 i believe Edited June 2, 2017 by raddys (see edit history)
evinX
Sounds like a complete headache to me. Why sell a car after so much custom work...if it worked properly? Bells ring to me

squiffy
I think some of the drift guys run diesel bmw box conversions on their jz's as they were cheap but strong. Worst case there are hundreds of the things sat in scrap yards
