Pete
With the efforts HMRC have been going to in recent years doubling down their efforts to catch people out and punish dodgy accountancy practices I'd be surprised if you'd find many decent accountants willing to bend the rules significantly. (Aside from the massive multinationals able to continually abuse loopholes).

(Aside from the massive multinationals able to continually abuse loopholes). I am not looking to be dodgy, my last accountant was not working in my best interest and offering advise on how to protect my earnings from full tax liability, just looking for an accountant that actually works for me

CorruptSapphire
To mirror what Pete has said. Any decent account will not put themselves in a position that they can be fined by the HMRC as these fines are now c.50k The HMRC are really tightening up on what can and can't be claimed for.
