Another zoo keeper casualty. Forum member caught at the scene?

Another horrendous day for us zookeepers as a member of staff has been killed by a big cat. Too early to know who was at fault although, these things tend to be keeper error sadly, reason being why i'm so lock paranoid at work.

 

Wouldn't normally share this on here but a few pictures down on the article a black supra in the car park too.

Such a pity.

 

Strength to her family, friends and colleagues.

 

Without trying to sound callous, what happens to the cat now? Destroyed or returned to its enclosure?

 

I don't think they are destroyed after incidents like this.. After all they are the ultimate predator and just doing what they are born to do. Very sad story nevertheless.

Very sad to read what happened but you can't blame the tiger can you ? its a dangerous wild animal.

 

I understand we need zoos to keep these stunning animals from becoming extinct and i totally understand

the dedication of zoo workers etc, sadly in reality its not natural for it to be kept in a cage and looking at the zoo

not a very big one at that.
