Pic or diagram of the inlet air control

If so, it controls the idle by bleeding air from a pipe fed from the

Air-Box / Inlet into the Inlet Manifold.....

The Black Circle part is the plunger/solenoid that opens/closes a

hole into the Inlet Manifold.

Mine got a sliver of plastic stuck in the 'hole' and the idle went to pieces...

It wouldn't idle high enough when cold and too high when warm !

I unbolted it and cleaned it out = back to normal again.

I could unplug it when it was stuck and it made no difference !

(Haven't tried unplugging it since I fixed it ? I will try tomorrow

night ?)

I think the IDEA (although not sure) is that you could

probably shut the Throttle 'flap' COMPLETELY and the car runs

TOTALLY on the IAC/IAV. ie. IT controls the idle NOT the throttle.

SO, I think Leon's saying it doesn't matter what the... errr...

main(?) settings are good/bad etc it should tickover on that idle

circuit ?
