Annabella
Hi Chris tag (VIN plate) on mine (95 NA auto) is A340E if that helps? Edited May 18, 2017 by Annabella (see edit history)
Chris Wilson
Thanks, but this is the plate on the gearbox itself. The customer has spoken to Keron (not the supplier) and he says it IS a TT box. Didn't want to waste my time and his money fitting it if it was an N/A one... Thanks!
chrispot
I would say it's a turbo box, looking at the list on wikipedia. link https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Toyota_A_transmission#A340E_.2830-40LE.29 Regards Chris.
Scooter
Doesn't the na box have a link to the throttle somehow that the tt doesn't? To adjust valve pressure etc?
Swampy442
It'll be obvious because the NA has mechanical line pressure control ( cable from the throttle quadrant) the TT has electronic line pressure control
Delboy52
If it still has it's original bell housing attached, TT box has J3 embossed on the top, N/A has a J1. The tail end where the prop connects is the biggest giveaway. David has written The Definitive How-To I.D. Supra transmissions: http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/group.php?discussionid=153&do=discuss In the photo, TT at the top, N/A at the bottom.
