meister_raul
Hi. I just changed the cluster and I had to remove the needles. I managed to adjust every single one of them except the fuel gauge. I filled the tank, put the needle on full but now he doesn't move at all...any sugestions? Thank you
supra900bhp
When I did mine I put it on the empty mark and filled tank to brim and seams to read right for me but not 100% sure of a reset could give it a try and hope it works out for you too
jonc
When I fitted my mom's dials I took the fuel sender out of the tank an adjusted the fuel level accordingly. First I put the sender to full and adjusted to full then put the sender to empty and adjusted again. After a couple of adjustments it reads fairly well. If yours I not moving you may have damaged the coil on the meter. You can check the meter by conducting a test in the service manual. meister_raul
Hello guys. I unplugged the connector from the tank to see if the needle moves and I moved the the needle in and out till it moved itself. I guess it was jammed. Thank you
evinX
Probably pressed the needle on to hard. Done it a few times over the years myself Editjust saw your last post.
Big Mark
I didn't know you could press the needles on "too hard" I changed my faces recently and mapper did say rev counter was juddery, as if it was sticking a bit. Do i just need to pull the needle off and on?
Supra-love
Does it not need calibrating after removing needles?
evinX
Does it not need calibrating after removing needles? Putting power to it reloads the spring. Then you put the needles on.

j_jza80
I've had this recently, pull needle off gauge, brim the tank, turn ignition to position 2, wait a couple of minutes then put needle back carefully (only push it just over half way on) on tank full line. My fuel light now comes on when the needle hits the bottom bar, which i reckon is about right.
meister_raul
@Big Mark Yes, on and off, and the tank sensor really helped me, because when the needle was in the right position it would drop off if disconected from the tank. I will will try to be more careful from now long
