Mgrene
The other day I wanted to allocate my oil cooler and when I removed the intercooler, I found this power steering cooler. To me the state of the cooler looks awfall. Would you reccomend to change it? If yes, what do you reccomend? The car is only going to be used on normal road/high way. But I doubt that it works at all :-/ I have absolutely zero experience with coolers for the power steering hence all feedback is highly appreciated. mwilkinson
Is the PAS cooler loose? It looks it. It does look quite rusted although it's difficult to tell for certain from the image.

Assume it is abbreviation for the cooler? Sorry I'm from Denmark so not familiar with all the words :-) It is not loose, or actually it is just hanging there but it is installed to pipes etc. I have used a strip to hold it up so there willl be no unnecessary pressure on where it is connected to the pipes. Mk4Gaz
Pas = power assisted steering

Scooter
cooler looks to have been angled to clear something as the stock cooler is horizontal as standard, but i'm sure it's cooling as well as any!? Mgrene
The blue cooler is the oil cooler. It will be removed from that location so it has nothing to do with the steering weel cooler :-) Edited May 2, 2017 by Mgrene (see edit history)

It's still horizontal if you ask me, or close to be horizontal. It is not in the way of anything :-) Guess it is as it should be then. Just a little rusty. mwilkinson
It looks loose based on the fact it's at an odd angle and poorly positioned. I'd look to obtain a decent factory PAS cooler or replace it with a compact MOCAL cooler in the near side bumper opening.
Mgrene
Thanks. Will try and find a new cooler. Sometimes I wish I had the Supra manual so one can see how things are originally installed.
mwilkinson
Seems that the cooler is a factory item, but installed incorrectly. Have a look at the images in this thread. http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?300892-Front-mount-intercooler
