Facelift analogue clock

The clocks in both my facelifts have been temperamental, my last one used to stop working every now and again but would normally start again when it felt like it. My current one hasn't worked for a couple of months now and when I was fitting my headunit yesterday I checked to make sure it was connected properly and securely - it was. Anyone got any ideas, is it likely to be the clock itself that's died, or does anyone know if it's on a separate fuse that might have blown (everything else works as it should)?

Could be a dry joint like I seem to have on the heater lights? These things are 20 years old.

See if you can find an electronics repairer on yell?

Mine stopped working two years ago, replaced it and now all fine. Was near impossible to source a replacement. Was looking for over a year for one. If anyone wants to buy my none working one so they can have a look at electronics in it and have a go at repairing it, it's for sale.

Well...I dismantled mine today, redid the solder joints as they looked bad. No effect. I could hear the cogs moving, but not engaging somehow inside? So I decided to dismantle it further - bad idea. They have weird thin strands of copper that go to the pins, needless to say by the time I realised it was too late and I fear it's beyond saving now.
