j_jza80
Hey guys, decided to sell my spare tiptronic gearbox, as i think i'll just go for a gearbox swap if I break my current one. I bought it from a fellow club member, who had bought a tiptronic car off Jurgen and converted it to 6 speed as soon as he got it. It was in perfect working order when removed, and Jurgen can confirm that it has around 60k miles on it, so really is perfect as a spare. Comes complete with torque converter, flywheel, shifter assembly and a few other bits I got with it. These only very rarely come up for sale, as most of you tiptronic owners will know. A must have if going full BPU or single. £600 (ONO) plus postage (if needed), although collection preferred. Much cheaper than a rebuild, and gets your car back on the road much faster. I can get pics if you want, but it looks like any other gearbox
MattP
The one you swiped from within my own county you Snake £

j_jza80
Bump Having to pull a load of stuff out of storage (Inc this) as my dad's e type is coming back this week (hence the recent spate of things for sale), will take £500 If it goes before the car comes on Saturday, as it saves me having to sort it all out again
Silver.bullet
What else would you need to have this work with a tt gte??
j_jza80
Youd really need an aftermarket ecu with gearbox control, as the non tiptronic ecu won't control the gearbox, the tiptronic ecu is for the vvti engine, and the wiring is different. Probably not impossible, but more hassle than it's worth IMO.
Frank Bullitt
Or speak with David P, he may know of a way to get this to work with a "normal" auto TT using the Suprastick.
j_jza80
Don't think the supra stick is compatible with TT gearboxes.
Frank Bullitt
Not sure regarding the Supra stick to be honest as I have never looked into it but it's a potential option. As far as I know the only difference between T.T. auto and tiptronic box is different valve-body and solenoid loom. So in theory a tiptronic box could be run in an auto TT it would just be a case of how you would get it all to work. Piggy backing the tiptronic ECU to T.T. ECU for transmission control maybe? It would have to be a question for DavidP to answer as he is our resident autobox guru. Everything is possible with enough time, knowledge or failing the first two money
j_jza80
You're talking about a lot of work though, besides, IIRC the tiptronic gearbox management uses the ects-i throttle during shifts, so yoid probably need to convert to a vvti throttle body, which I would not recommend to anyone. 99% sure the supra stick only works with the n.a. boxes.
