Hi

I have a troble supra on my hands, it have some power sterring issue, i feels like the powersterring only works half as it should.. the fluid is 2 years old, so i tried to change it, i could see the filter in the powersterring reservoir was very dirty, so i clean it with brake cleaner, and took the airhose to push the dirt out off the reservoir, after that i had no powersterring at all, but all off a suddon the powersterring came all back and now it worked 100% as it should.. but it dident work very long, and how i am back where i startede as it only work half as i should..

what could the problem be? has the dirt move to another part on the sterring system or???

Few ideas

You can have a hose that is perished and let's air in which foams the fluid up.

You could have a fluid leak, but you'd have probably noted this by now.

You could have fluid leaking into the rack bellows.

Your crank pulley might be partially seperated and so not providing enough drive to the the pump

-> all lines looks ok, there is foams in the reservoir when i turn side to side, when there was air in the system, but that is gone now.

->No leak on the system.

You could have fluid leaking into the rack bellows.

->If that was the case, should i not use fluid? as it dosent do that.

->I have testet that too, with 2 yellow lines on the pully to see if it moves, and the lines is the same place after a hard drive. so that shuld be ok..
