Any ideas on this car spec auto j spec gz aerotop tt full cw de cat and bleed tee running 1.2 bar colder grade spark plugs trl fcd blits nur spec r

When excelrating from a standing start at full throttle the car takes of like a rocket but when it changes up into second the power seems to back of for about 1 to 2 seconds and the warning triangle comes on lift off the throttle and plant you’re foot back on the loud pedal and all seems ok again this only ever happens from first gear no problems at all when I give it full throttle in second apart from th8is the car runs fine any ideas

I would agree with this.

Bleeder valves are inherently dependant on outside air temps, so one day it'll be like a rocket and the next slow in comparison.

The VFCC can be adjusted to REMOVE fuel cut altogether but I would NOT recommend this with the mods you have. It's telling you to reduce the boost a little.

You are on the edge of overboost fuel cut so be careful.

I’ve got a hks boost gauge fitted strange thing is that after the mods and a full de cat it still would not boost above 0.9 bar strange as j spec supras normally over boost I had to fit a bleed tee to raise the boost ive got it set to bang on 1.2 bar. one thing since ive had these mods you can now hear the standard dump valve open were as you could not here this previously could it be that under full throttle when the auto box changes up and the butterfly closes in the throttle body that the standard dump valve can not handle the extra boost causing the turbos to stall

Sounds more like there is a restriction still within the system.

When I de-catted my car I could not raise boost until I fitted a boost controller and I later found out that the cause was the back box section of the exhaust constricting breathing.

The two mid-boxes and/or the final back-box of the standard exhaust system were collapsed/corroded enough to cause enough of a blockage that my boost was self limited. rather like fitting a large restrictor ring after the de-cat pipes.

So eventually, after fitting hybrid turbos and them not being much improvement, I changed the whole lot for a Mongoose complete exhaust system and now she flies :)

thanks for that pete i run the nur spec on mine with the baffle in mainly because its so blody loud with it out but i will try with it out for a few days to see what happens. did it make a big difference to performance with hybreds and do you have to up grade the full system on a j spec when you fit them
