Carnage
Hi, My car is a Supra UK Spec Single Auto running off Syvecs S6 GP ECU. The Overdrive light turns on and off when driving. I noticed during the test drive but I didn't think much of it at the time. I did ask the seller but he did not know what it meant, and I obviously didn't do my home work. I want to get this resolved as I think it could highlight issues with how the Autobox is running. It seems fine to me but sometimes the Autobox feels a bit sluggish to kick down during acceleration. I've done a bit of reading and one possible fix is a "Speed Sensor Splice? http://www.supraforums.com/forum/showthread.php?349732-speed-sensor-splice&highlight=odometer%20fix Would this fix be recommended? Also, is the Autobox actually controlled by the Syvecs ECU? Or how do I find out? Cheers, DM. Frank Bullitt
I can't imagine someone would go to the trouble of fitting a Syvecs and piggybacking it to the car when it *should* be more than capable of running the engine & box. Either log into the Syvecs via your laptop and look at the setting or look and see if the autobox ECU is still fitted. Apparently the overdrive button doesn't work after fitting the Syvecs as it controlling everything, maybe that is the reason for it flashing? Do you know who mapped it? and1c
So is the auto ecu completely removed? I guess it would be possible for them to install the syvecs and keep the Toyota ecu for the auto box functions if they didnt know what they were doing with the syvecs. Process of elimination... check passenger footwell for what ECU is or isnt there, have you got any logs from the syvecs??

I'll connect a laptop later on, and report back, thanks. A place called, Ecotek, I think. But I'll try and confirm too.
