JIMBOW1
sorry for this kind of question but i have to ask. 1 of my best m8's has just brought a 04 wrx 225bhp and i would like to know if any of you have came accross any of these, how would a supra n/a manual fair against it????? dangerous rep
i got a 94 n/a and my mates got a 94 wrx and i lose to him saying that its not by much so im happy about that i guess. he is running uprated boost too. dont expect to much from the n/a its quick enough to see off most little scrotes but think if you want to play with the bigger boys you need the tt
Whitesupraboy2
Its dead level with a WRX but if you are a better driver or got more balls you may be able to get him out of corner and close on a straight. Ive beaten a WRX and drawn with one
Trig
ive beaten a few WRX's but maybe thats cos of my balls out driving skills!
Jurgen-Jm-Imports
your mates 94 wrx is most likely to be jap import with at least 264bhp so expect to lose there, but if your racing and 04 uk i should think if u can drive u should keep close till 60 then have him. sideshowbob
A mate of mine has a bugeye scoob, uk model. Upto 112 theres nothing in it, then the speed restrictor cuts in! :thumbdown
Bobbeh
I'd have thought... WRX better off the line, but in the long run the Supra would catch up and beat the Scooby, should make for good racing tho
merckx
The NA Supra will behind up until 60mph for certain. Impreza wrx 0-60 5.9s 222Bhp 221 lb-ft torque approx The Impreza is also lighter, Supra more aerodynamic. A very close race, no obvious winner. JIMBOW1
thanks for all the replys people i have allmoast got enough £ to go and get a nice sz szr, manual, and people say the n/a is not that quick but when i am in my mates 04 wrx it feels very quick to me so i think i will be very very happy with the performance of the supra, but then i am coming up from a mk4 astra 2.0 16v sri
dangerous rep
the supra doesnt feel quick by the way coz its a straight 6 it is so smooth the only thing that tells you its quick is the speedo
Fire148
The WRX would disappear around the corners .. bye bye Supe.
Homer
The WRX would disappear around the corners .. bye bye Supe. What are you basing that on? the Supra has better grip into and out of corners, the only time the scooby will beat it is when it is wet or the road surface is slippery (in fact then its no contest), in the dry I'd have the Supe any day! Try driving both, down a twisty B road, and then decide for yourself. Same driver different cars ... we're not talking fast A roads here where the Supe would be slightly faster... Power means jack sh7t around a corner, its purely down to weight and grip mid corner and the WRX has 15-20% advantage over a Supe. Anyone with a WRX fancy proving the above ??? GazzaGSi
Mate has a standard rb5 other than a exhaust system and theres nothing in it at all. The following day at work he said he didnt have enough to overtake and was shocked at how quick the n/a actually is. He did however accelerate quicker than me but I was too busy showing off to the people behind going sideways
Oddball
So just how quick is the N/A ? I used to have a Carlton GSI 3000 24v. About the same ? 0-60 6.6 Top end 150mph. What cars are in the same league ?
