Attero
Hi all! Wondering if someone is familiar with this at all. Running TTC on an Apexi FC. I took the supra out this evening for a quick spin when once it had warmed up, I hit the throttle and suddenly I had a loss of power at about 4k and a low pitch drone coming from the bay. I thought maybe it might have had something to do with the RLTC as I forgot to switch it off, so I did that but it still happened again. Anyway, I pulled off the motorway, slowed down for a little and took another route where I tried again and it didn't occur. Couldn't get it to do it again and everything seemed normal. I dont have the hand controller and don't know anyone who has... So not sure how I can diagnose it in case it was the ECU cutting something due to knock maybe. I usually get a check engine light if there's knock, but I didn't get anything. Does this sound familiar to anyone? I might give it another drive tomorrow and see if I can reproduce it again. Gpro
Yes this sounds familiar! takes me back to memory lane with stock twins. From memory, I believe it's one of your actuators that opens the 2nd turbo. As you are in TTC, the actuator/vsv should be open constantly. That said, you need to boost it once to fill the lines up with air. The 2nd time round it should work just fine. Might be worth checking all your vacuum lines for any leaks. Attero
I haven't heard any leaks when I had it opened up earlier but I will give it a better look again. Had a lot it replaced recently, so I'd be surprised. Are you saying this could be normal then? It really worried me when it happened.
