ripped_fear
I'm looking to invest in a compact Impact wrench for working on the car, id ideally like to keep it to sub 150 including the battery. It needs to rechargeable and not an air powered one. Price wise would be nice to keep it around 100 but can stretch if needs be but not to far 150 max really. You seem to be able to pick up the basic dewalts and makitas for this budget but is there better ones/other ones to consider. Any recommendations welcomed. And links to trusted suppliers welcomed too. Thanks Jake
Konrad
http://www.toolstation.com/shop/Power+Tools/d40/Impact+Tools/sd3338/Draper+Expert+83995+18V+Li-Ion+Impact+Wrench/p73900 This looks like a decent deal in your price range and it's actually quite small, so will get into confined spaces
Rob W
My Makita 18v lithium set has lasted me the last 5 years and still going strong. Mainly use the impact for wheels, larger nuts and bolts before torquing up.
CASHEYE
Why do you want an impact wrench? Specifically.. Also if you're dead set that that's what you need... what size head? At £150 you're going to be limited to crappy brands and sub standard tools. If you can invest in a little bit more, you'd buy a tool you'd potentially (excuse the pun) wrench on for the rest of your life. If you're wanting something compact and capable, I personally don't think you can do any better than Milwaukee's 12V range. Their 12v 3/4inch wrench would be more than anything you'd need for work you're likely to do outside of a garage environment. If you're willing to spend a little more (and you should) their impact driver can do everything the wrench can, but with a more versatile head. I've got one of these and have used it regularly to remove wheel nuts. It's a lot more than it looks. But to be totally honest if you're just doing small nuts and screws, you're better off with this. I've used mine every day for the last 4 years and it's performed well above what I thought it would ever be capable of.

ripped_fear
Thanks guys for the recommendations keep them coming. Im planning on getting one simply in preparation for doing a fair bit of under side work on the supra. And as such also want a small and easy to manoeuvre one
Littler
Milwaukee M12 Fuel - small form factor and easy to manoeuvre, I have this power tool range (although not the impact wrench) and it has proven to be fantastic.
MRX
Last few days I've been changing the springs and ran into an issue with a top strut mount bolt, a breaker couldn't shift it. I borrowed this one from a mate and it got the job done - https://www.machinemart.co.uk/p/clarke-cir450c-12-drive-24v-impact-wrench/ Its a budget brand, but its a decent strength at 450nm and i'll now get myself one as i was very impressed. Chris Wilson
Cheap and good are mutually exclusive with impact guns. I can recommend the mains powered Milwaukee one I have, it is used in a commercial environment every day, and when i needed spares they were available. Not sure how much they are new nowadays, but used for hobby purposes i guess one would last forever.... If you wanted air I would unhesitatingly say get a Chicago Pneumatic one. The battery ones I have tried were just too feeble to be useful for many jobs, but their portability appeals.
Mk4Gaz
I've recently got the 18v dewalt lithium one. All my other cordless tools are dewalt, so it made sense to keep the same, as the batteries are interchangeable. I have to say, it's excellent. Very powerful, and spun my diff bolts off like they were finger tight. I've also got a cheap 240v one, which in comparison is very heavy. If you were interested in this mains one I have, you can have it for the cost of postage
