np89
Hi all I am considering changing the steering wheel to something a bit more modern but OEM Toyota or Lexus. However I have a fair idea of what I am after. My question to you is who can advise out of what models I would get a nice meaty steering wheel, you know the kind, small centred, thick grip position and a flatish bottom - queue the innuendos! Thanks

hkchan
I removed this from my jdm supra few years ago n put back oem one. Tried to sell it but no one interest. Made a very light scratch by alley key when i remove it. Sell it very cheap, with hub that can be used for other wheel i believe

ManwithSupra
Not sure what OEM models would work but how about the Momo GT-
CarlT67
There is a celica wheel that fits, looks very similar to the facelift wheel, think it maybe gen7. I fitted one to a previous Supra.
Swampy442
Celica wheels, Yaris wheels fit too I think.
np89
I was thinking of something a bit more modern like out of the new auris or yaris t sport. Strangely the isf wheel looks a bit cheap :/
j_jza80
The issue with the newer wheels is the designs are too modern, and don't go well with the Supra dash.
np89
The issue with the newer wheels is the designs are too modern, and don't go well with the Supra dash. Its more the physical shape and feel I want. I was actually considering getting the sides trimmed in alcantara. Theres not too much standard about my car now so I thought it would be a nice addition. j_jza80
If you want shape and feel, change it for something like a Nardi or Moto-lita. Or a TRD if you are feeling flush.
Burna
Are there any that retain the cruise control?
np89
Are there any that retain the cruise control? Cruise control isn't an issue on mine anymore lol i removed it when I passed the 750bhp mark. Was a bit dicey when it came on boost at that lol
Sheefa
Celica one here on mine.
Pete
Are there any that retain the cruise control? It's just wires. Anything can be sorted out with wires...and other electrickery bits.
Burna
It's just wires. Anything can be sorted out with wires...and other electrickery bits. You know I know all about that lol It's the mounting of the actual cruise control unit and lever though, that's the tricky bit. I might have a look at Sheefas and see if it can be done. I remember years ago that someone retro fitted the cruise control to a TRD steering wheel, Sharpie I think it was. Edit: Found it! What a memory lol http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?20533-TRD-Steering-Wheel Edited April 5, 2017 by Burna (see edit history)
drift_bear
My old isotta steering whee had the cruise control buttons on the top of the cowling. Can get pics tomorrow when I'm out at the car if you want? I removed everything and it's sitting on the shelf
bayside_supra
Cruise control is normally part of the boss kit you get isn't it?

el_bandido
An IS250 steering wheel will fit; someone has said so on here before. Much nicer wheel than an IS200.
j_jza80
That's perfect thank you! You will need an airbag adapter plug though. Im not sure of the part number, but I know Nic knows it.
Littler
I modified the cruise control stalk to fit from an Lexus IS http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?271923-My-New-Steering-Wheel-With-A-Unique-Mod-FINALLY-FITTED-29-6 The part number for the air bag adapter is 09082-00760
Big Mark
Is an airbag adaptor needed to fit a TRD steering wheel or is that a direct fit?
