How much from an Aristo fits into a supra?!

Hi guys.

Looking for a bit of advice.

I currently have a good spec aristo, but Ive always wanted a supra. Ive had it for 5 years now, and will include a list of parts below. In my mind, can I buy a NA, auto Supra, and make it manual and single with my parts?

Do I need to change the sump?

This list I think definately all will bolt up?

2JZ GTE VVTI

Vibratechnic engine mounts.

HX35 Manifold

Wastegate

Syvecs S6 Stand alone management

Big case Carbonetics diff 2way

But then..:

JZX90 MKII R154 Gearbox with extended shifter mount

LS400 front brake setup

Id really appreciate any help given.

Nathan

Thanks mate,

Do you know about the gearbox shifter assembly? I think mine is 4-6 inches farthar back than a normal r154.

Are there much I need to worry about on certain supras? Like are the N/A ones kitted out with low spec rear brakes etc?

I think the LS400 brakes should fit as the supras fit the aristo too.

Im sure the jzx90 r154 fits the supra perfectly, its the mk3 supra r154 that needs the shifter extending.

I think the loom harnesses are slightly different and maynot be plug and play but if its possible to wire a 1jz in then im sure its possible

Thanks buddy. Thats great! It is the furthest shifter you can get from toyota i think. although it does need reconditioning..

Since it all runs off syvecs I dont think the loom will be much of an issue either.

Still cant find if engine mounts etc are the same.

When i dropped a 1jz i know i used prefacelift na mounts over tge 1jz as the design looked far superior. I believe the sub frame mounting holes are the same on the soarer but not surcif the soarer is the same as the aristo..

The ls400 brakes just bolt on with a quick adjustment with a grinder, but its obvious where when fitting.

I don't see why you'd swap in the subframe even if it was compatible?

Re NA's and lower spec, main things that spring to mind are some NA's don't have ABS (in case that's an issue?) also the rear diffs only have one rear mount TT's have two. No biggy as the subframe has the hole to fit the second and bring it up to TT standard. Rear diff's are 'small case' with a small prop flange so depending on the aristo sizing you may need to swap flanges or get a tt prop?

Nope, it's the JZX100 R154 that fits perfectly.

Loom and harnesses are massively different. Aristo ECU sits behind headlight. supra ECU in passenger footwell. I'd imagine a VVTi supra harness will make your life a lot easier.

MC_bob . You transferring over the Syvecs as well ???

A guy in the states can make an extender wiring loom to work with the aristo MK2 loom.

But it's not cheap to buy but an supra loom isn't cheap either.

Personally, i would just modify the na wiring loom to work with the aristo engine, swap out the aristo ECU with a TT ECU.
