Apexi SAFC II

I have the option to buy an SAFC II from a mate for pretty much nothing. I was thinking of taking it as it could potentially be combined with a vent to atmosphere BOV and avoid the problems that I would encounter with one of these due to having an airflow meter.

The SAFC II is supposed to have a deceleration function that particularly suits a vent to air BOV when stock recirculates.

However, when running WOT, my stock boost drops from 0.8 to 0.5 on gear changes. How does the SAFC adjustment work as obviously it is only in this situation (apart from the deceleration above) that I would want to adjust fuelling to avoid being rich on full power. The rest of the time I wouldn't want to adjust fuelling.

Any help appreciated,

Nick

There is one member on here that suffered the effects of the SAFC II's solenoids with a burnt engine.

I think you may be confusing that with an AVCr boost controller? (Which incidentally I've run for 4+ years now with no problems  )
