Are you not concerned he is looking for ways in which he can clock a car?

 

It sounds to me like he has bought a whole other piece that goes behind the dash, the new bit comes with high miles his old one was lower and he wants it changed. I suspect if he was a serious/serial clocker he wouldn't need to ask on the forum!?

 

If yours odo gave up tomorrow and you got a replacement one from Keron you could be very well asking the same question?
