Gaz B
So, I've got most of the engine out. The pump is being held by 2 bolts at the very back towards the turbos with a metal pipe, coming out of it. I just can't get a spanner in them to get them to budge. Do I have to take off the turbo to gain access properly?! It's a stock gte btw
baldy
It can be done, you need to be triple jointed really. Ive done it but cant remember how, but there was a lot of cursing going on. Good luck

Good luck Yep, This. I managed to do it last year. Ratchet and a long extension. But real pain in the ass. I think the cursing and swearing helped enormously though. Of course once you have the nuts off and the water pump changed, getting them back on and tight is whole other story
Chris Wilson
Unless there are issues with the backing plate (as in N/A's eroding the core plug in it), there's little point in struggling to change it on a TT, just change the pump body itself.
