Selling for a friend .... 6 speed very rare 370z gearbox.

In original box.

Only done a (reported) 14,000 miles. Looks excellent condition. You can use these as a conversion in a Supra also with an adaptor plate (i have the link to the adaptor plate below).

*** ADAPTOR PLATE FOR SUPRA CONVERSION: http://collinsadapters.com/index.php/adapter-plates/2jz-ultimate-adapter-plate-0-625-a36-steel.html ***

These gearboxes are good for up to around 800hp. Plus once you have converted the bits to make it fit you can replace a broken box for under a grand instead of the £4k - £5k for a supra 6 speed if you can even find one!!

These are ultra rare unlike the earlier 350z box.

Available for collection from car garage in Mid Sussex or can be sent via a pallet at your cost.

£850

Are 6 speed 370's rare then Jamesy ? Thought they would be as common as 350's 6 speed boxes

350z boxes come up quite often for sale mate. 370z not so much :)

Friend of mine who used to drift for SVA Imports used this is their 350z for 4 years at 850bhp. Same internals as the V boxes im told

Does anyone know if the trans tunnel would need modifying? Other than the usual auto to manual trans tunnel conversion.

I don't really want to be bashing the bulkhead in.

Regards, Iky.

I will find out for you mate. Its boxed up so shipping is fine if needed

The gearbox is too big for the trans tunnel but the newest Collins kit let's you use the IS300 automatic bellhousing which fits fine. You will need to cut off the bellhousing of the Z box as it's all one piece.

For these conversion you dont need to cut the bellhousing. With the adapter between de motor and the gearbox this is a plug and play setup. By collinsadapter.com you can buy the whole kit, depending the HP you want to run. Like P-bazz with the 350Z I'm doing the swap with the 370Z gearbox and kit.

I upgrade it by placing a Tilton slave cylinder instead of the weak one sold by collins. Right now I'm doing some measurements to build the perfect adapter ring to place the slave cylinder.

So no doubt this is a good options conpared to the gold made V16-ish

It depends on which kit you buy. Using the Aisin A-340 bell housing kit you will need to cut the bell housing of the Z-trans to adapt an automatic 2jz bell housing.

If you choose the other swap kits you will get the adapter and flywheel type needed and you will not have to mill the Z-trans bell housing. Just plug and play. For example the stage 4 or 5 kit. However you will pay more for these kits compared to the Aisin one but you will have less work and issues. Beside this you will not have the risk to damage the trans by milling the bell housing.
